Affordable Housing Development
Allapattah Business Development Authority ABDA develops housing that is affordable
to low income
persons.
It focuses on homeownership since that strategy builds long term community stability
and allows residents to build family wealth.
In 1998 ABDA developed the Fern Isle Garden Condominiums, a complex consisting of
fifty two (52) units (both 2 and 3 bedrooms) located at 1320 NW 24th Ave. The project
has been completed and has been completely sold to low income residents.
Construction on Ralph Plaza Condominiums is expected to be completed in October
of 2002. It is located at 1618 NW 38 Street and consists of twenty one (21) three
bedroom units. Ground will be broken for Ralph Plaza II in the fall of 2002 (the
project will consist of 30 units.
