EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
POSITION DESCRIPTION

General Description

The Executive Director directs and coordinates all the day-to-day operations of the organization. Represents the organization, articulates the organization’s vision and helps maintain compliance with its mission. The position reports directly to the board of directors. NW Riviera Beach CRC is a community based non-profit organization that provides affordable housing opportunities and community development services to residents of Palm Beach County and specifically within the City of Riviera Beach in Florida.

Some Specific Responsibilities and Duties

  • Working with community partners and other community development stakeholders to identify development opportunities;

  • Developing and coordinating all organizational activities in conjunction with board of directors, staff and consultants;

  • Coordinating the construction of new housing and the rehabilitation of existing houses.

  • Assisting with the negotiations necessary to gain a variety of public and private development resources for the organization’s programs and projects;

  • Developing and implementing fund raising programs in conjunction with board of directors;

  • Supervise organization’s staff, recruits and select all personnel and consultants & evaluates employee performance.

  • Actively establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships and networks that support the goals of NWRBCRC.

  • Monitor the financial position of the organization and develop the organization’s budget.

  • Assist the board in developing a multi-year fund raising plan and marketing campaign to promote the organization and to build capacity and be sustainable.

  • Review and develop policies and procedures for the approval of the board of directors.

  • Serve as the organization’s spokesperson, along with assistance from the board president.

  • Prepare work plans, timelines, and budgets for meeting development and program goals

Qualifications & Experience

The selected candidate must be a proven leader with a demonstrated record of fund raising (through grant writing and solicitation). Leadership and/or development experience with non-profit organizations vital; real estate development and homeownership experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree and experience in community development or a combination of qualifications and experience required; advanced degree or relevant professional certification a plus. The candidate should display an entrepreneurial approach to management of non-profit organizations. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.

Compensation

Salary range $55,000-$65,000 (based on qualifications and experience). Excellent benefits.
