Housing Division Director

Organization: Housing Partnership, Inc. has served Palm Beach County since 1986, providing an array of housing and social services. The organization has established significant capacity, with a track record of effectively developing and managing housing opportunities. Services under the management of the division director include a newly licensed Mortgage Lending operation, housing counseling and education, and supportive housing. The organization seeks an ambitious, entrepreneurial person with housing and community service experience and with a passion for affordable housing to move the division forward.

Position Summary: The Housing Division Director is responsible for planning and implementing new housing programs, as well as managing all of the operation and compliance for existing programs. This includes ensuring the delivery of high quality services, staff supervision, oversight of property management, resource development, community relationships, and seeking to integrate all department services to the greatest extent possible. The Housing Division Director seeks to maximize affordable housing resources for the benefit of our customers. This is a senior position that entails participation in the organization’s senior leadership team to guide our success.
       

Skills Required

Job Qualifications: The potential director must have a significant background in management and housing. Possess a B.S. or B.A. degree; minimum of five years of related experience; grant-writing, community development/finance, and program development experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, and responsible, while having the cultural competence to work with and supervise people with varied cultures and backgrounds.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities, act independently, and possess competency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to develop relationships for potential development opportunities is essential.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and marketing skills.
  • Demonstrated track record working both independently and within the team setting
  • Demonstrated history of working in fast-paced environment with an emphasis on team building, flexibility and responsiveness.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
